💘📚 Valentine’s Day Flash Day: Books, Love & Supporting Local
This Valentine’s Day, we’re doing something a little bit special — and very close to our hearts.
On February 14th, BLK DOT GALLERY is teaming up with our wonderful local bookshop Words & Wonder to bring together two things we love deeply: tattoos and books.
It’s a day centred on:
✨ Romance (the bookish kind)
✨ Self-love
✨ Creativity
✨ Supporting small, independent local businesses
🤝 A Collaboration Built on Community
We truly believe that small businesses are stronger when we support one another. We’ve been lucky enough to collaborate locally before — including with Mabel — and those experiences reminded us how powerful it can be when creative, community-focused businesses come together.
This time, we wanted to create something especially meaningful for our book-loving clients and local residents. Whether you’re a romance reader, a poetry lover, or someone who simply enjoys getting lost in a good story, this day is for you.
🗓 What’s Happening on the Day
Date: February 14th
Opening times: 9:30am – 4:00pm
Last tattoo walk-in: 3:00pm
Both the tattoo studio and the bookshop will be open from 9:30am–4:00pm, making it easy to move between the two spaces throughout the day and enjoy the full experience.
🖤 Valentine’s Flash Tattoos
We’ll be offering a special Valentine’s Day flash selection inspired by:
- 📖 Romance from books
- 🌷 Self-love and softness
- ✨ Literary symbolism
- 🕯 Quiet devotion and sentimental themes
Flash tattoos will be available on a walk-in basis only, with the final walk-in taken at 3:00pm. Designs are first come, first served, so arriving earlier is recommended.
🎁 Every tattoo client will receive a gift bag, filled with bookish treats and little surprises as a thank-you for spending the day with us.
🧁 We’ll also have cupcakes and hot & cold drinks available free of charge throughout the day.

Bookshop customers who make a purchase on the day will receive a £30 voucher toward a future tattoo appointment at BLK DOT GALLERY.
Vouchers are only available on February 14th.

Tattoo clients on the day will receive a discount to use at the bookshop, perfect for picking up your next read.
Discounts can only be acquired on February 14th.
We’ll also be launching new bookish and love-themed art prints at the tattoo studio, available to purchase on the day — ideal as a Valentine’s gift, a treat for yourself, or something meaningful to take home.
